Few Words about us
My name is Jessica Diaz and I founded Grow With Speech, Inc. because I was searching for a way to help my clients and their families in a personable and individualized manner. I also wanted the option of providing home based therapy giving children an opportunity to achieve their communication goals in their natural environment. This has provided children an opportunity to feel successful and confident while attempting to carry over these skills to daily activities within their school and social relationships.
My love for speech therapy began as an undergraduate at Florida State University and continued as a graduate student at the University of South Florida where
I obtained my Masters of Science in Speech Pathology. Since then, I have worked with a variety of developmental and genetic disorders and syndromes in outpatient and inpatient hospital settings as well as pediatric therapy centers.
As a certified ASHA member, I am committed and passionate in growing with the field of speech language pathology, providing the most current research based practices to better serve those in my community. At GWS my mission is to identify the needs of each individual I evaluate using their strengths to guide me in developing an individualized treatment plan to achieve their goals. I encourage and strongly believe in family education, participation in therapy sessions, and development of home programs as an essential component in a childʼs speech and language growth..

What kind of services do we offer?
Upon meeting a thorough intake review is completed to better understand your child’s communication history and your observations of their current communication level. The evaluation which follows is usually between 60-90 minutes and includes informal observations of play, behavioral and communication skills. These observations are combined with results of standardized and non-standardized testing tools to assist in determining a speech diagnosis.
Based on results, a treatment plan is created targeting your child’s specific needs while keeping their interests in mind. Following evaluation and treatment sessions, parent education is provided to help enable and support your child’s communication development across a variety of environments.

How can we help you?
Give us a call, and you will see! We are here to support you along the way. GWS's therapist are flexible and understand that scheduling may become difficult as many children have various activities throughout their day. Therefore, extended hours are offered for home based therapy from 8:00 am to 7:00 pm. We are also available to go to your child's daycare or school, if and when given permission by the institution.
